Fisti Updates

I wrapped up the visual categories for 1991, 2009 and 2011.  I wanted to finish up all three years by the new year, but I'm still working through the aural categories (got some more songs to listen to and scores to evaluate).  Still, visuals are done so take a peak.  Some expected entries and maybe some surprises...and a surprise snub (it's nominated but it doesn't win) in 2009's visual effects!  Feel free to let me know what you think.

  1. Glad that T2 won Visual Effects, and X-Men: First Class and Where the Wild Things Are are deserving wins too. Interesting makeup choices as well.

Not very surprised about the Avatar loss. It gets my vote though, with Star Trek as a close second.

    1. Avatar, to me, just felt like a very well crafted cartoon in many respects. I was never blown away, as so many were, and to be honest the scene with Weaver and the Avatars looked incredible fake. That being said, some of the scenes were magnificent, and what they did to Worthington's legs was perfect.
